What children practise
Counting Cove begins with groups of one to five pebbles. Later sections ask children to count six to ten shells and then groups of up to twenty. The fourth section changes the task: children look at four numbers in order and choose the one that is missing.
The fifth section mixes the earlier question types, so children can use the counting and sequence skills together.
Try a counting question
There are seven shells. A child can point to each shell once while saying the numbers from one to seven.
The missing number is 10. The numbers go up by one each time.
Play Counting Cove
Open Numbervale and choose Counting Cove in Sprout Valley. The first section is ready to play; completing a section unlocks the next one and earns its matching Farm Friend card. A wrong answer lets the child try the same question again.
